Daniel Kahneman

Daniel Kahneman (March 5, 1934 – March 27, 2024) was an Israeli-American psychologist renowned for his groundbreaking work in psychology and behavioral economics. He was awarded the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his contributions alongside Vernon L. Smith. Kahneman, known as the “grandfather of behavioral economics,” challenged traditional economic theories by exploring human judgment, decision-making, and biases. His influential work with Amos Tversky led to the development of prospect theory. Kahneman’s bestselling book Thinking, Fast and Slow (2011) further cemented his legacy. He was a professor emeritus at Princeton University and a founding partner of TGG Group.
